The Lower Mountain Fork River Foundation meets three times a year. Winter, Spring and Fall. These are Board of Directors meetings but membership and guests are encouraged to attend.

Meetings are held at various locations in the Broken Bow area. They will be announced as they are determined.
The May 15th Meeting will be at the pavilion in the park just like the last two years. Starts at 5:00. Please come join in, have a bite to eat, and find out what’s happening on the LMFR.
I would suggest changing the limits in the evening hole to catch and release only and eliminate the 1 over 20 inches….also, make it fly fishing only. As well, eliminate the 1 over 20 inches limit in the spillway……there seem to be far fewer large fish this year vs in past.
The upcoming meeting on September 25 will be held at the Broken Bow Public Library. The dinner will be catered so bring your appetite and show up at 5:00 pm.
Is there any recent developments on the replacement of the wooden bridges. Does Jim Kelly know ?

The wooden bridges are the responsibility of the Park. Mr. Jim Miller, Park Head, has been trying to get the funding for replacing the bridges since the flood took them out. Rumor has it that he has obtained funding within the total financial package that was granted for the new Nature Center in the Park. He is being invited to our meeting on September 25th to update us on everything. Please join us.
It is no rumor. Footbridge funding has been obtained by the park. No date known as of now for the work. Ranger Frank Griffen, who oversees the Nature Center, will be at the meeting to talk in detail. Please come to the meeting. Email the Three Rivers Fly Shop if you plan to attend so that we order enough food. Thanks.
Is there any progress on the wooden bridges crossing the river ? Patrick Waters indicated no start date set as of seven months ago. Distance from Kansas City prohibited me from attending the meeting at Three Rivers. My next camping trip will be early October 2011. 03/24/ 2011. Thank you for any update. My fishing buddy from Tyler Texas who joins me twice a year for Mountain Fork and I will be 80 years old this Spring are looking forward to try some fall flies. Thanks. Clyde
No progress yet on the rebuilding of the foot bridges for Spillway Creek. We will post updates on this as we have information. But we hope you can come back to the Mountain Fork River soon.
